Cederroth Eyewash is designed to be used quickly by anyone in an emergency. In the event of a chemical eye injury, time to rinsing is crucial to reduce the risk of permanent damage. The eyewash therefore opens automatically when removed from the holder, provides a constant and generous flow to the eye, and contains a buffered solution that helps neutralise splashes of alkalis and acids*. In accidents involving calcium-containing substances such as cement, concrete or lime, Cederroth Eyewash can be used as the solution is phosphate-free. This is particularly important as phosphates can react with calcium ions and cause complications.
