History
Salvequick - an immediate success
When peace was finally restored after the World War II, Salvequick’s founder, Christian Cederroth, realized that many of the necessities of war should also be available during times of peace, for example adhesive plasters.
The big challenge was the packaging. Before Salvequick was launched cloth plasters were produced in long strips that were hand-packed and sold over the counter in open envelopes. Unhygienic and unpractical. In 1953 Salvequick was therefore introduced – Europe’s first individually packed plasters that quickly became a success reaching far beyond the borders of Sweden.
Salvequick today
Today, Salvequick is market leading in several of its home markets, particularly in Europe. The brand’s success lies in constant innovation in material and packaging.
Salvequick is available in a number of different varieties – from children’s plasters to specialist plasters such as heel-blister plasters for golfers. We sell approximately 20 million packets of plasters around the world per year. And our work to develop simpler and improved wound care products continues.
