On November 25 Cederroth International’s Spanish subsidiary Cederroth Ibérica signed an asset purchase agreement with Distrex S.A., which means that Cederroth acquires their wound care business with immediate effect. The acquired business (“Distrex”) has a turnover of approximately EUR 8.5 million p.a. and some 60 employees, mainly within manufacturing, in Bigues in the outskirts of Barcelona.

Both Cederroth and Distrex Ibérica S.A. will benefit from the transaction – Cederroth will strengthen its wound care business in Europe whereas Distrex, with 30 years of experience, will focus more on pharmaceuticals and laxatives under a new company name – Laboratorios Favea. The transaction also means that there will be close contact between Cederroth and Laboratorios Favea in regard of future development projects.
